Westminster Christian Academy returns to Class 4 Final Four in baseball, seeks fifth state championship

Westminster Christian Academy played the Savannah Savages once before and it turned out well for the Wildcats. The Westminster Christian Academy Wildcats are back in the Class 4 Final Four. Westminster meets Savannah in a semifinal game. Westminster scored a 6-3 win over Savannah when it won the Class 3 state championship in 2011. The two teams meet again at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at CarShield Field in O’Fallon in a Class 4 semifinal game. Westminster is 28-6. Savannah is 25-1. St. Joseph’s successful season ends with second-place finish in girls state lacrosse tournament

The St. Joseph’s Academy Angels lacrosse squad achieved a great deal this season, coach Jen Bisch said. The St. Joseph’s Academy Angels lost to Summit in the championship game Missouri Scholastic Lacrosse Association state tournament. Summit slipped past St. Joseph’s 9-6 to win the Missouri Scholastic Lacrosse Association state championship at John Burroughs. It was the first ever state title for the Falcons. Chaminade makes it back-to-back second-place finishes in Class 4 state golf tournament

The Red Devils golf team is doing its best to all to the trophy case at Chaminade. The Chaminade Red Devils added another trophy for the school’s collection. Chaminade finished second in the Class 4 state golf tournament. Chaminade added another team plaque with its second-place finish in the Class 4 state golf tournament at Silo Ridge Golf and Country Club in Bolivar. It marked the fourth consecutive year the Red Devils have taken home a team plaque. It matched last year’s second-place finish. De Smet earns second consecutive baseball district title, faces McCluer North in sectional round

The De Smet Spartans head into Class 5 sectional baseball action after winning their second consecutive district championship. The De Smet Spartans won the Class 5 District 6 championship. Westminster captures third consecutive district baseball title, ready to play Jennings in sectional

The Westminster Christian Academy Wildcats have been a dominant baseball program for years. The Westminster Christian Academy Wildcats won the Class 4 District 5 baseball championship. The Wildcats captured four consecutive state championship from 2011-2014. Two years ago, Westminster finished third in the state. The Wildcats (26-6) are fresh off winning the Class 4 District 5 championship and will host the sectional game. Westminster will play the Jennings Warriors (7-6) at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday (May 21). CBC returns to sectional baseball round for first time since 2015, will face Marquette

The last time the CBC Cadets played in a Class 5 sectional baseball game they won and went to claim the state championship. The CBC Cadets won the Class 5 District 3 baseball tournament. It was the first district title since 2015 for the program.
