St. Joseph’s Academy will try to win third consecutive state golf championship

The St. Joseph’s Academy girls golf team will attempt to win their third consecutive state championship. The Angels qualified for the Class 2 state tournament by winning the Sectional 1 tournament played at Crescent Farms Golf Club. St. Joseph’s recorded a a four-player team score of 301. St. Joseph’s senior Lauren Gallagher tied for the medalist in the sectional. She recorded a 1-over 73. Tied with Gallagher was Lindbergh sophomore Sofia Gamayo. Lafayette’s Biermann qualifies for Class 2 state golf tournament again

Lafayette sophomore Brooke Biermann is two for two. Biermann has qualified to play in her second Class 2 state golf tournament. The two-day tournament begins Monday (Oct. 15) at Swope Park Golf Course in Kansas City. Biermann captured medalist honors for the second time this postseason by winning the Sectional 2 meet at Tanglewood Golf Course in Fulton. Biermann shot a 3-over 75 to win by two strokes. St. Joseph’s Academy wins seventh consecutive district team tennis championship, two doubles teams qualify for state

It was lucky No. 7 for the St. Joseph’s Academy Angels. St. Joseph’s won its seventh consecutive district championship by defeating Ladue 9-0 to claim the Class 2 District 3 meet the Angles hosted. “At the risk of sounding overconfident, I knew we’d be heavily favored to win,” St. Joseph’s coach Doug Smith said.
