Port set to play in the U.S. Women’s Amateur for her 17th appearance in the tournament

Ellen Port will tee it up in the nation’s top women’s amateur golf tournament. The U.S. Women’s Amateur begins Monday (Aug. 6) and it will be played at The Golf Club of Tennessee in Kingston Springs, Tenn. This is the 118th annual event. A field of the nation’s top 156 amateurs will compete. Port, 56, is the championship’s oldest competitor. She claimed the 2016 U.S. Senior Women’s Amateur Championship title at the Wellesley (Mass.) Parkway policy update causes stir on social media

For the last few years, Parkway has been gradually updating all district policies [curriculum, student safety and personnel] to align with Missouri School Boards’ Association [MSBA] recommendations. The district is not alone in this effort. Other neighboring districts also are adopting similar language. Tickets remain for Monday through Thursday at PGA Championship at Bellerive

There is still a chance to purchase some tickets for upcoming 100th PGA Championship. The PGA of America officials announced Wednesday that there will be no walk-up ticket sales during the 100th PGA Championship at Bellerive Country Club. The tournament week begins Monday (Aug. 6) and runs through Aug. 12. Officials said a few single-day tickets remain for Monday through Thursday of the Championship.
