Museum celebrates ‘History Made’

On Tuesday, Oct. 1, the Missouri History Museum, in collaboration with the St. Louis Blues, opened “History Made,” a unique exhibit featuring more than 20 artifacts on loan from the St. Louis Blues from the historic playoff run and the Stanley Cup Finals.

Fall play scheduled for Rockwood Valley

Opening Knight Productions will perform “Once Upon a Tower” at 7 p.m. on Nov. 21-22 at Rockwood Valley Elementary, 1220 Babler Park Drive in Wildwood. Admission to the play is free; however, donations to offset the cost of production will be accepted.

E-cigarette use continues alarming climb among teens

At a time when vaping has been directly linked to more than 1,000 serious lung illnesses and several deaths across the country, results of the most recent Monitoring the Future survey of high school students are also extremely troubling. Data from the national survey of students in the eighth, 10th and 12th grades shows that the number of teens who use e-cigarettes has doubled over just the last two years.

Prep Football: Week 8

There’s just one week to go before the postseason begins for area teams. There are several solid matchups this week highlighted by the Marquette Mustangs meeting the Eureka Wildcats in a Suburban West Conference American Division game. The teams meet Friday, Oct. 18 at 7 p.m. in Eureka.
