Hot Priory looks to cool off Orchard Farm in sectional soccer match

Priory Rebels coach John Mohrmann knows one thing for sure about postseason soccer action. “All games in November are difficult,” Mohrmann. The Rebels (18-4) face another tough task when the Orchard Farm Eagles (22-1) comes play in a Class 2 sectional game at 3 p.m. Wednesday (Nov. 13). Priory is the defending Class 3 state champions, scoring a 3-0 win last fall against Lincoln College Prep. De Smet will host Pattonville in sectional soccer match

Fresh off a district soccer championship, the De Smet Spartans move on and will play Pattonville in the sectional round. The Spartans (14-4-1) entertain the 17-8 Pirates at 6 p.m. Wednesday (Nov. 13). The two teams met most recently last fall in a district championship game. De Smet won that match 1-0 and went on to finish second overall in Class 4. The De Smet Spartans celebrate winning the Class 4 District 5 championship.
