Whitfield loses state champion to injury in winning MICDS meet, prepares for big Francis Howell meet

The Whitfield Warriors won the 50th annual Eric Lewis Invitational at MICDS but it came with a steep price. The Warriors lost sophomore J.R. Ditter for the rest of the season with a fractured elbow. He will have surgery this week on it, coach Charlie Sherertz said. Ditter wrestles at 120 pounds this year.
