Lafayette girls swim team sets meet record in Springfield

The Lafayette girls swimming and diving Lancers will take part in their final dual match of the season fresh off an impressive second-place finish in the Springfield Invitational. The Lancers will hit the road to swim against Parkway South at 4:15 p.m. Friday (Feb. 5). Next week, Lafayette will swim in the two-day Suburban West Conference meet that begins Feb. 11 at Lindbergh. In the 22-team field at Springfield, the Lancers finished with 351 points and set a meet record in one event. Area high school athletes sign college letters of intent

Athletes across West County on Wednesday (Feb. 3) signed national letters of intent to play a sport in college. It was the first day that a high school senior could sign a binding National Letter of Intent for college football, field hockey, soccer, track and field, cross country and water polo. CBC announced 30 student-athletes have made commitments to continue their academic and athletic careers in college.
