Francis Howell North’s Garrett Allsman had an absolutely perfect day on Wednesday. It’s getting to the point where it is easier to sneak sunrise past a rooster than keep the Incarnate Word Academy Red Knights out of the state high school girls basketball championship game. Incarnate Word (29-2) captured the seventh title in the program’s proud history with a one-sided 60-27 win over the MICDS Rams in the Class 4 title game at the Mizzou Arena in Columbia. Parkway North girls basketball team happy to add state plaque to trophy case

The mark of a good team is when it gets knocked down, it gets right back up and plays like a champion. The Parkway North girls basketball team did just that this season in the Final Four. The program made school history by finishing third in the Class 5 state tournament. No Parkway North team before ever reached the Final Four and a trip to Mizzou Arena in Columbia. MICDS girls enjoy historical basketball season with second-place finish at state

The MICDS Rams girls basketball team made history this season and set the standard for seasons to come. Coach Scott Small and his Rams finished second in Class 4 and ended with a sparking 26-3 record.  No MICDS has ever accomplished that. Two of those losses came to the Incarnate Word Academy Red Knights. MICDS fell short to the Red Knights in the Class 4 championship game. Incarnate Word scored a 60-27 victory.
