CBC captures 14th championship with win over rival St. Louis University High

  It was pretty much a foregone conclusion that the CBC Cadets hockey team would dominate again during this season. Rolling from late November to the first week of March, the Cadets basically owned the Mid-States Club Hockey landscape. CBC closed out the campaign in dominating fashion by hammering St. Louis University High 5-1 in the Challenge Cup title game on Tuesday (Mar. 3) at Scottrade Center. Wildwood City Council set to vote on trash hauling 

Wildwood’s City Council is set to vote March 9 on final approval of an extension of the city’s residential trash hauling license agreement with Here to Serve – Missouri Waste Division LLC, doing business as Meridian Waste Services LLC. The council gave a first reading to the legislation on Feb. 23. The single-family residential trash hauler has less than one year remaining in their exclusive solid waste license agreement. Chaminade ready to go and play in district basketball tournament

It’s been a magical season for the Chaminade Red Devils and coach Frank Bennett wants it to continue in the postseason. The Red Devils finished the regular season at 20-3 and won the Metro Catholic Conference basketball championship with 8-0 record. Now it’s the postseason. Chaminade meets Ritenour at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday (March 3) in Class 5 District 7 play at McCluer North. Chaminade is seeded first in the district followed by Ladue, McCluer North, Ritenour and Hazelwood East. Ritenour defeated Hazelwood East 59-58 on Saturday. The Huskies are 16-9. CBC records two firsts for program at state wrestling meet

It was a record setting state wresting tournament for CBC and freshman Malik Johnson did something no other Cadet has ever done. Six Cadets qualified to state from the district meet where five freshmen competed for CBC. At the recent state meet at the Mizzou Arena in Columbia, four of the CBC matmen earned medals including a state championship. That was the best ever for the program.
