On June 10, tender moments of somber reflection on the years of service given by the late Ray Manton quickly disappeared as the city's divided council once again resorted to factional politics.

During a private meeting between city and EPA officials, as well as a city consultant, on Aug. 26, the Callahan and Strecker Forest subsites of the Ellisville Superfund site were discussed, with a focus on next steps to be taken.
