Ellisville Dog Park honors those who helped in its founding

By MARY ADCOCK A new addition has been made to Ellisville’s Dog Park, located in Bluebird Park – a brass sign, mounted on a rock with the quote “Where neighbors meet and dogs play.” The sign lists the names of Ellisville’s dog park committee and the City Council, both of which assisted in establishing the dog park. Other amenities include water fountains, bags and benches for dog owners to meet, and shade and sunny spots for all guests. Governor’s veto could impact student transfer program

Governor Jay Nixon and the General Assembly appear to be on a collision course again regarding vetoes of critical bills and state budget cuts. On Tuesday, June 24, Nixon vetoed  bills totalling $144.6 million in general revenue spending from the Fiscal Year 2015 budget and restricted $641.6 million in general revenue expenditures – for a total of $786.2 million.
